1. Sonoma County, California
Just yesterday, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake rattled Sonoma County at 7:30 a.m. with its epicenter near The Geysers. Two aftershocks followed closely, a 3.9 magnitude quake in Lake County and another 2.5 magnitude tremor soon after. Luckily, no major damage was reported, but it sure gave locals a shake!
2. South Carolina
A smaller, but still noticeable, magnitude 2.1 earthquake struck McCormick County, South Carolina early Sunday morning. This one might not have caused any damage, but it definitely woke up a few people!
3. Fresno County, California
On Thursday, a magnitude 3.6 quake was recorded near Avenal. While it didn’t result in any injuries or damage, it’s a reminder to stay prepared, just in case!
4. North Carolina and Virginia Border
And early Wednesday, a magnitude 2.9 earthquake was reported near the North Carolina-Virginia border, close to the town of Sparta. These smaller quakes can still be felt by many and are a gentle reminder of the Earth's ongoing seismic activity.
